Landbank puts up Extension Office at the OMB

Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales today (07 March 2012) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Landbank of the Phils. (Landbank) for the establishment of a Landbank Extension Office (EO) within the premises of the Office of the Ombudsman.
Under the MOA signed by Ombudsman Morales and Landbank Pres. Gilda Pico, the Office of the Ombudsman shall provide Landbank “free of charge, of an office space to be used exclusively as an Extension Office for the LBP’s complete banking facilities and servicesâ€.
The Ombudsman has committed to allow Landbank to occupy a portion of the ground floor of the OMB Bldg. for the Landbank-EO. The OMB also agreed to avail of the full banking services to be offered by the said EO, which shall cater to the banking requirements of close to 800 OMB employees as well as neighboring government agencies and other establishments in the vicinity.
Ombudsman Morales expressed appreciation for Landbank’s continuing commitment to serve the needs of its stakeholders. For her part, Pico said “the establishment of this EO is part of our continuing thrust to provide more banking convenience to our valued clients including government officesâ€.
The EO is targeted to be operational by September this year.
