Philippine National Police Chief, Police General Camilo Pancratius Cascolan visited Police Regional Office 11 today, November 3, and conducted a dialogue with the men and women of PRO 11 anchored on his nine (9) strategic thrusts.
The PNP Chief personally led the awarding of deserving PRO 11 personnel who actively participated in the Revitalized Pulis sa Barangay Program and came up with notable projects intended for the communities situated at the Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAS).
The awardees were:
1. PLTCOL MARLOU N LABARES- awarded with MEDALYA NG KAGALINGAN for officiating series of wedding and baptism ceremonies or Kasalang Bayan & Binyagang Bayan that benefited a total of 34 couples and 249 individuals respectively.
2. PLT SHIELA MAY SWAIN PANSOY & PLT NEIL TACHADO JAMILA - awarded with MEDALYA NG KAGALINGAN for the successful construction of Community Comfort Rooms with Water Storage Facility intended for the B’laan Tribe Community situated at Barangay Site of Barangay Donganpekong, Municipality of Matanao, Dabvao del Sur on October 8, 2020.
3. LT AIZZEL ANURAN ALVAREZ & PMSg Aida Luceñara Awitin- awarded with MEDALYA NG KAGALINGAN for the successful joint Revitalized-Pulis sa Barangay (R-PSB) and Metrobank Police Officers Responsible for Organizing, Transforming, Empowering Communities (PROTECT) that resulted in the donation through Usufruct Agreement of one hectare land in a rebel tagged barangay for building of a lumad school and opening of a 1.5 kilometer road at Barangay Datu Danwata, Malita, Davao Occidental.
4. PLT CARLO PACO MAGNO - awarded with MEDALYA NG KAGALINGAN in the construction of road leading to the IP community and approval and operation of Saulon Integrated School located in Sitio Saulon, Barangay Tamugan, Marilog District, Davao City for the benefit of the IP belonging to the Obu Manuvu Tribe.
5. PLT ROLAND BARUNDAY RUBION & Pat Melbourne Bresbane Gallino Afan - awarded with Medalya ng Papuri for the successful conduct of police assistance to Mrs. Editha Domel, Ata-Manobo, pregnant woman who delivered a child inside her house on October 21, 2020.
Meanwhile, PRO 11 Regional Director, PBGen Filmore Escobal conducted briefing on the operation of PRO 11 Integrated Command Center and presented to the PNP Chief the one hundred fifty-three (153) surrendered firearms from former rebels which includes 40 M16 rifle, 21 Garand Rifle, 14 Shotgun 12A, 13 Pistol Cal 45, 11 M14 Rifle, 11 AK 47, 10 Revolver Cal 38, 8 Carbine Rifle, 8 Sub Machine Gun 9MM, 3 M203 GL, 1 M 79 GL and M60 LMG among others.
As part of his visit, Police General Cascolan formalized the USUFRUCT agreement between PNP and the Island Garden City of Samal for the use of 10,000 square meters of land for the establishment of PNP Air Unit Station, as well as the construction of PNP hangar in Davao Region.
The signing was participated by Mayor Al David Uy and Vice Mayor Richard Guindolman, IGACOS and witnessed by PBGen Escobal, and DIPO-Eastern Mindanao Director, PMGen Arnel B Escobal.
