Government troops discover arms cache in Davao de Oro
Operating troops from the Army's 66th Infantry “Kabalikat” Battalion and the Davao De Oro Provincial Police Office (DDOPPO) found the location of an arms cache on May 25, 2022 at Sitio Libuton, Brgy Andap, New Bataan, Davao De Oro.
A former rebel revealed the location of the hidden arms cache by the CPP-NPA Terrorists (CNTs) which resulted to the recovery of three AK47 Rifle, two magazines, one M16 rifle, and one M203 grenade launcher.
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., commended the 66IB on its positive operation which led to the discovery of arms cache. Lt. Gen. Brawner acknowledged the help of the former rebels who have transitioned their alliance and shifted their support to the government.
