PIA DAVAO: Twelve (12) concrete fence walls of Davao City Police Office were painted with artists' skills purposely to create awareness especially to the young ones, as part of the DCPO'S intensified campaign to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC).
Police Colonel Kirby John Kraft, City Director, said the mural painting started on January 15, 2020.
The main story of the painting aims to "spread the word"out there about what the PNP wants to change in the community by not supporting the Joma Sison's criminal group, emphasizing "criminal" since they are used to terrorize, extort from businessmen and create atrocities generate fear and violence among the populace.
"We initiated this for a good cause," said PCol Kraft. "There's a larger issue than many people may be aware of. The extremism of the CPP-NPA-NDF and their recruitment especially to students. "
For the record, students and younger generations are most likely to be persuaded to join the rebel/terrorist group because of their minority and their discernment on political issues can easily be fed with false ideologies, their being impulsive and adventurous.
