Philippine Coast Guard Update re: effects of Tropical Storm “DANTE” (as of 6:00AM, 2 June 2021), as reported by PCG Commandant Admiral George Ursabia Jr.:
Coast Guard responders from CG District Northeastern Mindanao responded to the flooding situation in Agusan del Norte.
Likewise, PCG responders from CG District Eastern Visayas assisted in the evacuation efforts in Ormoc City.
One LCT is now half submerged at the shoreline of Albuera, Leyte. All 18 crew abandoned the vessel and are safe and accounted for.
Other PCG Districts (CG District Bicol and CG District Northeastern Luzon) to be affected are on heightened alert and ready to respond as deemed necessary.
