MULTINATIONAL GROUP SAIL | BRP Antonio Luna FF151 - PF joins a Multinational Group Sail
In a post by the Ministry of Defence, Singapore (MINDEF), the Philippine Navy Jose Rizal-class frigate, BRP Antonio Luna (FF151), joins the Republic of Singapore Navy's Formidable-class RSS Intrepid, Indian Navy's Shivalik-class frigate INS Satpura, TNI Angkatan Laut's Martadinata-class frigate KRI I Gusti Ngurah Rai and Tentera Laut Diraja Malaysia's Kasturi-class corvette KD Lekir in a Multinational Group Sail on 16-18 Jun 2022 in the Pacific Ocean.
The ships conducted a series of drills while transiting from Guam to Hawaii, which included manoeuvring and communication exercises.
BRP Antonio Luna (FF151) will be participating in the biennial Rim of the Pacific Exercise (RIMPAC), the world's largest international maritime warfare exercise. It will be the third time that the Philippine Navy will participate in RIMPAC, the first in 2018 and the second in 2020.
