Army neutralizes an ASG bandit in Sulu

Philippine Army operating troops from the Joint Task Force (JTF) Sulu neutralized one (1) Abu Sayyaf bandit in an encounter in Barangay Bungkaong, Patikul, Sulu on October 13, 2022.

A tip-off on presence of four (4) members of ASG bandits from the community led to the neutralization of 1 member of the ASG bandit which also resulted to the recovery of one (1) 5.56 M16A1 rifle; one (1) magazine; 28 rounds of serviceable ammunitions; one (1) 40mm ammo; and, personal belongings.

The Army leadership lauded the troops of the Joint Task Force (JTF) Sulu for neutralizing an ASG member and for its continued campaign of ending terrorism in the Southern Philippines.
