9IB steps up anti-logging drive in Aurora
The Philippine Army's 91st Infantry Battalion (91IB) of the 7th Infantry Division stepped up its support to law enforcement operations as it confiscated some 224 board feet of illegally cut lumbers together with Aurora policemen and Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Community Environment and Natural Resources Office personnel at Sitio Anggo, Barangay Toytoyan, Dipaculao on April 8, 2022.
Army's Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit (CAFGU) Active Auxiliaries (CAAs) squad based at the Dimabuno Patrol Base of the 91IB together with DENR personnel and local police conducted a joint anti-illegal logging campaign and discovered abandoned of three pieces Mayapis and seven pieces of Katmon illegal cut good lumbers which eventually deposited to DENR-CENRO office for proper disposition.
Acting Army Chief Maj. Gen. Henry M Doyaoen lauded the 91IB for fully supporting the national government’s campaign to curb illegal forest activities in Aurora's vast Sierra Madre mountain chain.
