ZAMBOANGA CITY -- The police have arrested three people, including a barangay official, in an anti-illegal drug operation in this city, a police official said Thursday.
Supt. Nonito Asdai, Police Station 6 chief, identified those arrested as Barangay Councilor Pilar Dagalea, 64, of Mampang; Dexter Dagalea, 36; and, Joebert Eijansantos, 31.
Asdai said they were arrested in a buy-bust operation at around 9 p.m. Wednesday at Purok 4, Barangay Mampang, this city.
Recovered from the suspects were: PhP200 marked money consisting of two PhP100 bills; nine small packs of suspected shabu with an estimated PhP2,250 street value; and, other illegal drug paraphernalia.
Asdai said the buy-busy operation was launched following days of surveillance in the illegal drug trade of the suspects.
He said they were detained pending the filing of appropriate charges against them (PNA)
