ZAMBOANGA CITY -- Police arrested a public school teacher for indiscriminate firing in Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay, an official disclosed Wednesday.
Arrested was Abdul Manahan, 53, an elementary school teacher, according to Chief Insp. Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-9 (PRO-9) information officer.
Galvez said Manahan was arrested at around 5:25 p.m. Tuesday in Barangay Timbabauan, Tungawan on complaints of alarm and scandal through indiscriminate firing.
Galvez said the responding team of policemen recovered from the possession and control of Manahan a caliber .45 pistol with three live ammunition and four empty shells; an empty bottle of liquor; and, a half-empty bottle of liquor.
She said Manahan was taken to the police headquarters of Tungawan for appropriate action. (PNA)
