The Provincial Government of Bulacan has enforced a “strictly no visit†policy at the Bulacan Provincial Jail after nine inmates were found positive of the A (H1N1) virus during a medical test conducted last week.
Provincial Administrator Perlie Mendoza, however, said that the nine inmates have already undergone medical treatment and are all now in good health condition.
“No visitors allowed to provincial jail until there is no go signal from the Department of Health (DoH),†Mendoza said. The measures are now being undertaken to contain the spread of the virus at the provincial jail.
She said the nine inmates were found positive of the A(H1N1) virus after health authorities conducted a swab test among prisoners last week.
Mendoza said the Provincial Health Office will continue monitoring the health condition of the inmates.
She said health officials are still determining the origin or the source of the virus. (PNA)
