Press Release: The Cebu Provincial Government launched last Thursday, April 8, 2021 the Sugbusog sa Eskuylahan: Estudyanteng Busog, Luwas ug Himsog.
This program will involve all public elementary and high schools in the Province of Cebu, with the cooperation of the Department of Education, Department of Agriculture and the Department of Science and Technology.
Inspired by the success of the Sugbusog Program, a backyard gardening contest among households and Puroks all over the Province, this will now be replicated in public schools in the hope to revive the interest in agriculture among the youth and for them to learn the value growing and producing their own food.
This is also consistent with the Province's stand to boost one's immune system to be able to parry any kinds of diseases, the consumption of vegetables among schoolchildren is a good start to leading a healthy lifestyle. | #SugboNews2021
