“QUEENIE” WEAKENS INTO A REMNANT LOW
Location of Center (4:00 PM): The Low Pressure Area ( formerly “QUEENIE”) was estimated based on all available data at 420 km East of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur (7.8°N, 130.1°E)
Intensity: Central pressure of 1006 hPa
Present Movement: Northwestward at 20 km/h

HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND AREAS
This afternoon through tomorrow morning, the remnant low may bring light to moderate with at times heavy rains over Caraga and Davao Oriental. Under these conditions, flooding and rain-induced landslides are possible, especially in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazard as identified in hazard maps and in localities with significant antecedent rainfall.
HAZARDS AFFECTING COASTAL WATERS
The remnant low is unlikely to bring rough seas over the coastal waters of the country which may result to risky conditions to mariners.
TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK
QUEENIE weakened into a remnant low at 2:00 PM today. This remnant low will continue moving generally northwestward and may dissipate in the next 12 hours.
Considering these developments, the public and disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to take all necessary measures to protect life and property. Persons living in areas identified to be highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards are advised to follow evacuation and other instructions from local officials. For heavy rainfall warnings, thunderstorm/rainfall advisories, and other severe weather information specific to your area, please monitor products issued by your local PAGASA Regional Services Division.
