'Spam' alert
JUST IN: The Cebu City Department of Veterinary Medicine and Fisheries (DVMF) warns consumers of Korean ham, or "Spam" made in Korea, that is popularly sold online.
The DVMF said that these pork products are still banned in Cebu due to the threat of the African Swine Fever (ASF). Recently, the agency confiscated and incinerated 96 cans of the banned pork products.
Doctor Jessica Maribojoc, the head of the DVMF, said they already sought the help of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to crack down on online sellers of this banned Korean ham.
Furthermore, they have formed a team that would monitor online shops for these sellers so they can be reported to the FDA. | Delta Letigio #CDNDigital
