LOOK: The Philippine Coast Guard Logistics Systems Command (CGLSC) conducted an ALL-FEMALE BASIC SELF DEFENSE WORKSHOP in cooperation with Coast Guard Special Service Office (CGSSO) personnel specializing in Judo and Kurash at the Coast Guard Base Farola gymnasium on 03 March 2022.
In celebration of the National Women’s Month, 17 female PCG personnel were trained on performing basic break falls, rolling, throws, and other moves of Kurash, a folk wrestling style practices in Central Asia, and Judo, an unarmed combat in modern Japanese martial arts and Olympic sports.
The CGLSC expressed its sincere gratitude to CGSSO officers and non-officers — CG LCDR Maria Dulce Erika Alcaraz, CG LT Ridge Mojica, CG PO2 Helen Dawa, CG PO3 Jenielou Mosqueda, CG SN1 Alvin Mendoza, CG SN1 Bryn Quillotes, CG SN2 Jackielou Escarpe, CG ASN Sherwin de Rosa, CG ASW Dylwyn Gimena and CG ASW Khrizzie Pabulayan — for the successful conduct of the said workshop.
