PH's 'hottest' Tuguegarao City hits by cold temperature

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Jan 11 (PNA) -- Tuguearao City, touted to be the country's hottest in terms of weather condition with almost 42.2 degrees Celsius recorded 1969, is now experiencing cold weather at 19.0 degrees Celsius recorded Tuesday due to the northeast monsoon.

Weather specialist Amor Benitez of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) in the Cagayan Valley Region, said the cold weather condition will persist, at least in most parts of the region, up to February.

With 22 to 26 degrees Celsius which is far different from the normal temperature of 37 to 38 degrees Celsius being experienced last year, Benitez said the residents here expressed mixed feelings.

"Majority of the residents are enjoying the cold weather with so much to save on, including consumption cost on power and water while the rest of them are complaining of ailments ranging from respiratory track infection to lifestyle diseases like high blood pressure and heart disease, she said.

"At least, even with just a short period we will be able to curb the trend of global warming because we are reducing our power consumption, We likewise save on water as we dont's wash as much as we do during the warm month," she added.

Aida B. Cabauiatan, 42, a government employee, said " there is not much clothings and beddings to wash because we do not perspire. We are enjoying the cold weather." (PNA)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
