After self-confessed drug lord Kerwin Espinosa, former BuCor OIC Rafael Ragos also recants his testimony regarding the drug charges against Sen. Leila De Lima.
Ragos says in his affidavit that then-Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre "forced" and "coerced" him to make false accusations against De Lima.
"As the trial went by, Prosecutor Laurence Joel Taliping advised me: 'Mag-testigo ka nang mabuti, mino-monitor ka ng Malacañang," Ragos recalls in his affidavit.
"Fearing for my life and my family, I had no choice but to follow everything that these people asked me to do... I beg for forgiveness of these innocent people who suffered from my transgression of bearing false witness against them," Ragos adds. (via News5/Marlene Alcaide)
