Press Release: Department of Transportation (DOTr) Assistant Secretary for Project Implementation-Mindanao Cluster, Eymard D. Eje, met with Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte on Friday, 28 May 2021.
In his meeting with Mayor Duterte, Asec. Eje discussed the updates on the Davao High Priority Bus System. Further, Asec Eje, on behalf of Transportation Secretary Art Tugade, also thanked the Mayor for her undying support to all the DOTr projects being implemented in Davao City.
Thereafter, Asec. Eje proceeded to meet with Land Transportation and Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Chairman Martin B. Delgra III. Asec. Eje sought the assistance of Chairman Delgra alongside the Project Manager of Mindanao Railways Project (MRP), Atty. Clipton J. Solamo and MRP's ROWSA head, Atty. James Adam S. Zozobrado to discuss the activities for the Right Of Way Site Acquisition (ROWSA) of the the Davao High Priority Bus System (HPBS).
Asec. Eje also discussed with Chairman Delgra the various issues that the HPBS is facing, one of which is the unwillingness of some project affected land owners to cooperate with the implementation of the project.
After the series of meetings, Asec. Eje capped his day off with a quick inspection of LTFRB's old Office located in Balusong Avenue, McArthur Highway, Matina, Davao City. He was assisted by LTFRB Region XI Regional Director, Nonito A. Llanos. The said office is one of the prospect offices which will cater to the MRP and HPBS PMOs.
