This is currently happening and we owe this to our medical frontliners - handling Mental Health cases and Covid cases and all the patients and their families affected by this.
Accordingly (inside info), NCMH was ordered by DOH Sec. Duque to provide 1000 beds to covid patients. You read that right -- National Center for Mental Health.
Here are the specific issues:
1. Compromised safety of the mental health patients (psyche ER is in the same building as the Covid facility).
2. Manpower complement, kulang sila at di well-equipped ang medical staff to handle Covid cases; they are not confident to handle Covid patients. May mga umiiyak na.
3. Walang maayos na facility.
4. Kulang ang logistics.
5. Marami nang na-infect na healthcare workers and in-patients.
6. Problem with the internal referral system of NCMH because they need to restructure the admission process.
7. Walang maayos na guidelines ng Covid facility, walang manual of operations man lang.
Let's call on NCMH Medical Center Chief, NOEL REYES, to make this right. Apparently he is the one calling the shots at this time.
