A woman died while saving her money and jewelry from a fire that razed her house on Tuesday morning in Novaliches, Quezon City, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and Text Fire Philippines (TFP) said.
BFP and TFP arson probers identified the fatality as Kayamala Hassanah Ali, of Ramirez Compound, Barangay Nova Proper.
Probers said the two-hour house might have been caused by faulty electrical wiring. The fire struck the victim's house past 2 a.m. and was declared fire out at 4 a.m.
Meanwhile, despite continues rains on Monday, a fire destroyed a P 1.5-million two-storey house in Quezon City.
BFP and TFP fire probers said that house was owned by Lauro Marinas Yicson, 25, an employee of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS), at 3 Cardinal St., St. Dominic 1, Project 6, Barangay Bahay Toro. - PNA
