The identity of the bar blast perpetrator has been identified by authorities, according to Justice Secretary Leila de Lima who urged him to come forward and surrender.

"We know who you are and it's just a matter of time before we get you," warned de Lima through a message sent to the media Saturday afternoon.

"I'm now constrained to reiterate the President's call for his and his co-perpetrators' immediate surrender," de Lima said. The September 26 post-bar exams bomb blast along Taft Avenue in Manila left at least 47 people injured.

The Justice Department and its attached agency, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), which took the lead in investigating the blast, reiterated that there are enough witnesses who have identified the suspect.

"We don't know yet his exact whereabouts. We know his home province/town. NBI operatives were dispatched there last week. Negative. Allegedly, certain individuals are protecting him."
