PDEA CONDUCTS K9 OPERATIONS IN KALIBO AND ILOILO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORTS
PDEA RO VI conducted K9 inspections and passenger profiling operations in December 2024 to prevent the entry and exit of illegal drugs in Western Visayas.
On December 27, 2024, a K9 inspection at the Philippine Airlines cargo area of Kalibo International Airport, Kalibo, Aklan, was conducted by the Western Visayas Airport Interdiction Unit (WVAIU) and PDEA Aklan Provincial Office.
Previously, on December 16, 19, 20, and 26, 2024, monitoring were conducted at the Philippine Airlines cargo area of Iloilo International Airport, Cabatuan, Iloilo, by PDEA Interdiction Unit for Panay and Guimaras.
Also on December 16 and 20, 2024, passenger profiling operations were held at Iloilo International Airport’s Arrival Area for flights from Manila and Pampanga.
All inspections and profiling yielded negative results for illegal drugs, controlled precursors, and essential chemicals.
