Joint elements from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and police arrested a barangay councilor and three others during an anti-illegal drugs buy-bust operation in Barangay Camp 1, Rosario, La Union last Sunday.
A belated report of PDEA agent Bismark Bengwayan identified the four arrested drug pushers as Emilio dela Cruz, 30, incumbent barangay councilor of Barangay Lapalo, San Manuel, Pangasinan; Emmanuel Rivera, 50; and Dino Salting, 21; both from Barangay Lapalo, San Manuel, Pangasinan; and Jamal Pangadaman, 22, a resident from Barangay Camantiles, Urdaneta City, Pangasinan.
He said that lawmen seized from the suspects’ possession four heat-sealed plastic sachets of crystalline substance believed to be shabu with an estimated value of P30,000.
Lawmen also seized from the suspects a cellphone and a van which was allegedly used in their illegal drugs transactions.
He also disclosed that Rivera is included in the Order of Battle (OB) of PDEA and police in their campaign against illegal drugs. - by PNA.gov.ph
