OCD 4-A official to assume national post
CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Jan 3 (PNA) -- The Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) IV-A director and chairperson of the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (RDRRMC) Vicente F. Tomazar will assume the position as Chief of Operations Service at the OCD Central Office.
In a message received Tuesday from the OCD IV-A Information Office, Olivia M. Luces, former regional director of OCD-7, will assume the post of Dir. Tomazar in a turnover ceremony slated on January 4 at the Splash Mountain Resort and Hotel, Los Baños town in this province.
Tomazar has served as OCD IV-A regional director for 10 years until his promotion as Director III by Usec. Ricardo B. Jalad, executive director, NDRRMC and OCD administrator.
OCD Assistant Secretary Kristoffer James E. Purisima is expected to grace the turnover ceremony together with Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officers from various local government units (LGUs), representatives from RDRRMC member agencies and partners.
Tomazar expressed his gratitude for the support and assistance given by various agencies and partners to the OCD-RDRRMC IV-A during his term expecting the same support afforded to the new regional director. (PNA)
