Troops of 20th Infantry Battalion Clash with SRGU in Northern Samar, Seize Weapons and Subversive Materials
The troops from the 20th Infantry Battalion (20IB) clashed with members of the SRGU, SRC ARCTIC, led by Pilo Ramis (@Dos/Trisha), in Brgy. Manering, Catubig, Northern Samar on December 12, 2024, after receiving information from concerned citizens about extortion activities. The encounter lasted 15 minutes, with the terrorists withdrawing southeast.
The troops seized one M653 and one Cal. 5.56mm assault rifle, along with war materiel and subversive documents. Lt. Col. Richard P. Villaflor, Commanding Officer of 20IB, thanked the local community for their support, emphasizing the importance of community cooperation in maintaining peace and security in the region.
