The Port Management Office of NCR-South facilitated the isolation and testing of the crew members of cruise ship Norwegian Encore yesterday while waiting clearance for disembarlation.
A total of 1078 crew composed of 999 returning Filipino and 20 foreign seafarers (direct to NAIA II) and 59 service crew are onboard.
In coordination with OSS-POM agencies (PPA, BOQ, PCG, MARINA, BI, OWWA), the DOTr Office of the Assistant Secretary for Maritime with ship agent Ben Line and Sharp Port Services (LMA), the seafarers formally disembarked around 8PM last night enroute to their destination except for one seafarer who yielded unfavorable COVID-19 testing result.
The activity was generally peaceful and orderly without any untoward incident.
