In recognition of its exemplary performance and outstanding achievements last year, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Calabarzon was named as the “Best Regional Criminal Unit†for the year 2010.
The CIDG Calabarzon, which has jurisdiction over investigation and detection operatives in the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon, was cited for its excellent job, particularly in crime solution efficiency and the dismantling of several criminal groups, including the arrest of most wanted persons in Southern Tagalog.
The award presented at the flag-raising ceremony during the CIDG’s 58th Foundation Anniversary in Camp Crame last Monday, was the third consecutive year that CIDG IV-A earned the rare distinction among the CIDG units in various regions of the country.
Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa and Chief Supt. Leon Nilo de la Cruz, CIDG director, presented a “Plaque of Recognition†to Senior Superintendent Edwin Jose Nemenzo, CIDG 4A director and Superintendent Archie Macala, regional deputy director.
The CIDG 4A was also adjudged as best CIDG unit in 2008 and 2009. (PNA)
