PIA DAVAO DE ORO: Around 130 ballmills and carbon in pulp (CIP) plants in Mount Diwalwal were padlocked by the Provincial Task Force Naboc River since Monday, February 10. DENR-PENRO Chamberlain Babiera stressed that the padlocking is part of the implementation of the cease and desist order issued by the Mines and Geosciences Bureau, and Environmental Management Bureau last March 2019. He added that around 290 ballmill and CIP plants are targeted to be closed on this weeklong activity of the task force. (mlu)
