To provide the public with the best possible medical care comparable to private hospitals, the Quezon City government announced the soft-opening of the newly-refurbished
Quezon City General Hospital (QCGH) on June 18.
Tadeo Palma, secretary to Mayor Feliciano Belmonte Jr. said the new QCGH will feature high medical standards with its new building and modern equipment prompting the Department of Health (DoH) and Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (Philhealth) to categorize it as “quality standard ’’ comparable to prominent private hospitals like Saint Luke’s Medical Center.
Aside from Belmonte, mayor-elect Herbert Bautista and his running mate Joy Belmonte will be among the prominent guests in the soft opening of the hospital.
QCGH Director Dr. Edgardo V. Salud admitted that at present QCGH was fortunate to be granted “quality standard†by Philhealth during its inspection early this month after the hospital was able to comply with 51 points in health standard. - manila bulletin
