TUGUEGARAO CITY -- A 5.1 magnitude quake jolted Calayan, Cagayan province and some areas of Apayao at 6:08 a.m. Wednesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Region 2 Regional Director Dante Balao said aftershocks are expected and advised the public to stay calm and vigilant.
Phivolcs said the quake was tectonic in origin. There were no reported casualties or damage to property, Balao said. (PNA)
