Press Release: After the historic inaugural ceremony for the EDSA Busway Concourse Project yesterday, 18 May 2021, Department of Transportation (DOTr) Sec. Art Tugade jubilantly expressed in his post the forthcoming renaissance and transformation of EDSA.

“Ito ‘hong EDSA Busway, kasama ng iba pa nating proyekto tulad ng Metro Manila Subway, MRT-3 Rehabilitation, EDSA Greenways, Bike Lanes– lahat ‘ho ‘yan ay mahahalagang komposisyon ng ating tinatawag na EDSA TRANSFORMATION,” Sec. Tugade said in his post.

He added, “Lahat ‘ho ‘ito ay bahagi ng ating pinagsama-samang hakbang para iyong imposible dati, nagawa at gagawin nating posible ngayon.”

Our Transportation Chief underscored in his post, “With the EDSA Busway, we are not just changing the system, but also the culture on the road. We are inculcating the values and the discipline for the benefit of the people.”

With the success of the aforesaid project, Sec. Tugade conveyed his utmost gratitude towards the fruitful partnership and commitment manifested by the public and private sector, which led to the swift and efficient realization of the initiative.

“I sincerely appreciate the commitment, support, and partnership extended by our partners in the government and private sectors, for us to make this much-needed transformational change in EDSA happen,” Sec. Tugade said.

He further expressed, “Taos-puso ang aking pasasalamat dahil sa wakas, makakamit at matitikman na ng publiko ng tunay na pagbabago sa EDSA gamit ang EDSA Busway Concourse.”
