The Joint Security Control Center (JSCC) in Camanava (Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas and Valenzuela) area has convened and threshed out measures aimed at achieving an orderly and peaceful Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections on Oct. 25.

The JSCC, composed of the Commission on Elections (Comelec), Northern Police District (NPD), Department of Education (DepEd), the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) and city treasurers, has been activated to monitor and supervise daily election activities and developments in connection with the upcoming polls in the northern part of the metropolis.

According to NPD director Senior Supt. Edgardo Ladao, JSCC’s co-vice chairman, the special body has agreed to initiate peace covenants among candidates which will be spearheaded by the respective city election officers and PPCRV.

At the same meeting, which was presided over by JSCC chairman Patrick Enaje and attended by members, including city treasurers and school superintendents, it assessed the threats that were previously recorded during May 10 polls.

“It was important that we have assessed those threats, may they be small or big, for reason that we all want to make sure that the coming barangay and SK elections in Camanava area would be peaceful and orderly,” Ladao told Tribune in a phone interview.

The JSCC pushed the sustained setting up of checkpoints in various strategic places, especially in densely-populated areas in Camanava, which it said have greatly contributed to the decline of crime-related incidents since its establishment last month.

Meanwhile, the city treasurers and school superintendents were in unison in planning out the delivery of election paraphernalia during the elections.

The JSCC, which tackled the strict implementation of all prohibited acts stated under the Omnibus Election Code, has likewise activated the “Eleksyon Tawag Center” which is primarily tasked to monitor the election-related activities.

Though there are no areas under watch as compared to other places outside Camanava, Ladao said they also discussed possible areas of concern like one barangay in Dagat-Dagatan, Caloocan City.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
