The state weather bureau is keeping watch over a low pressure area (LPA) near Basco, Batanes as the southwest monsoon continues to bring rains in Luzon and Visayas particular the western section.

Weather forecaster Connie Dadivas said that as of 2 a.m. Monday, the LPA was spotted off 400 kilometers Northeast of Basco, Batanes (22.0°N ,126.0°E).

Dadivas said the LPA has small chance to develop into tropical cyclone and is expected to dissipate within two days.

But she said the weather agency continues to monitor the LPA and once it develops into tropical depression, it will be named “Lawin”, the 12th tropical cyclone to enter the country this year.

Dadivas said moderate to strong south westerly wind blow will prevail over Southern Luzon and Visayas.

In its advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said occasional light to moderate rains and thunderstorms will be experienced in Metro Manila, Mimaropa (Marinduque, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon and Palawan), Bicol region and Western Visayas.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy skies with brief rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.

PAGASA added that moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail and Manila bay will be moderate to occasionally rough.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the North to Northwest will prevail over Northern and Central Luzon, and coming from the Southwest to affect the rest of Luzon and Western Visayas.

The coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the Southwest with slight to moderate seas.

The weather agency also issued gale warning as strong to gale force wind is expected to affect the Northern and Eastern seaboards of Northern Luzon.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
