Army engineers clears landslide-hit roads in Leyte
Army engineers from 546th Engineer Combat Battalion (546ECB) cleared landslide-hit parts of Baybay-Mahaplag Road and other key roads in Leyte as tropical cyclone “Agaton” continued to dump rains on Eastern Visayas on April 11, 2022.
546ECB, hand in hand with the local DPWH personnel, also launched road-clearing operations in Barangay Bunga, Baybay City and Barangay Liberacion, Mahaplag, Leyte.
The 8th Infantry Division has launched humanitarian assistance and disaster response efforts for families affected by floods and landslides caused by non-stop rains dumped by “Agaton,” the first tropical cyclone to affect the country this year.
