ROXAS CITY, Capiz, Mar. 28 (PIA) - - Emergency responders in Capiz will be deployed this Holy Week.
Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office head Esperedion Pelaez said that the personnel of the Capiz Emergency Response Team together with the Capiz Archdiocesan Disaster Emergency Responders (CADER) of the Capiz Archdiocesan Social Action Center will be deployed to the two main churches in Roxas City.
He said that from Holy Thursday until Good Friday, the responding teams will be deployed within the area of Roxas City Metropolitan Cathedral and Mt. Carmel Parish Church.
He added that during said dates, an operation Operation Center of the PDRRMO will be opened at the Capiz Provincial Capitol.
Starting March, 31 which is Black Saturday until April 1 or Easter Sunday, the emergency teams will be deployed at Baybay Beach and ni Talon Beach, all in Roxas City and in Basiao Beach in Ivisan town.
On the other hand, Dennis Saneo of the Philippine Red Cross-Capiz Chapter disclosed that Emergency Response Unit of the PRC with the Roxas City Emergency Response Team will be stationed at the Roxas City Metropolitan Cathedral and in Sta. Teresa de Avila Parish Church in Loctugan, Roxas City.
Saneo noted that in partnership with the Philippine Coast Guard and RCERT, their team will be deployed this Saturday and Sunday at Baybay Beach in Roxas City aside from the their roving emergency team. (JBG/PIA-Capiz)
