Diplomatic Solution to Sabah Standoff?

by PNA

Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano Friday called for diplomatic solution of the Sabah incident despite reports that firefight between Malaysian royal army and Datu Jamalul Kiram’s forces broke out.

”We continued to pray and support the President for diplomatic solution on this problem. I’m also appealing to the Malaysian officials and sultanate forces to discuss this without using arms,” Cayetano said in media interview during a Pampanga campaign sortie.

Cayetano and other Team PNoy senatorial bets in May 13 mid-term elections joined President Aquino in a campaign rally held inside the Heroes Hall along Lazatin blvd here.

After wooing the Pampanga voters to support Team PNoy candidates, President Aquino rushed back to Manila to personally monitor the situation in Lahud Datu in Sabah.

”It is important to resolve the standoff in the area in a diplomatic manner,” Cayetano said.

Before joining the Pampanga sortie, Cayetano conducted a listening tour with the market vendors inside the Malolos public market in Bulacan.

”I want to inform you that our President is working hard to bring down the high economic growth down to the poor,” Cayetano said while having breakfast with the market vendors.

Cayetano told the market vendors that if he gets elected in the upcoming 16th Congress, he would push for legislation that would provide loans with lower interest rates to the market vendors.

”Instead of resorting to loan sharks which offer high interest, our government should come up with a program that will offer lower interest rates and to compete 5-6,” Cayetano said, referring to individuals who offered loans with 20 percent interest rates.

After his market tour, Cayetano proceeded at the Barasoain church where he met with presidents of the senior citizen associations in Malolos.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
