Perfume used by an Iranian national led parents of two girls in Baguio City to uncover the sex crime he allegedly did to two girls in Baguio City, ABS-CBN News reported Sunday.
Baguio police, meanwhile, were able to arrest the suspect identified as Mholaei Gholamreza alias "Kuya Imot." He was taken into custody in Dumaguete City in Negros Occidental.
Police said that the girls' parents learned of the crime after they sniffed Gholamreza familiar scent on the clothes of the victims.
The girls told their parents that the suspect had asked them to remove their clothes before mashing private parts.
Police said the suspect will face two counts of rape.
He declined to comment on the allegations.
In San Fernando City in Pampanga province, police have taken a Japanese national into custody after allegedly killing his stepson last week.
Shoji Uemera was accused of killing Claudia Roy's son after they had a disagreement over the rent imposed on apartment tenants.
Superintendent Renato Soria, San Fernando police chief, said the suspect admitted to the crime. The Japanese man also told police that he plans to commit suicide.
The suspect surrendered to San Fernando police and was accompanied by a lawyer and a representative from the Japanese embassy in Manila.
The suspect was taken to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Camp Crame in Quezon City, where charges are set to be filed against him.
