Davao Region now 'insurgency-free'
The Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) 11 declared Davao region as 'insurgency-free ' in a meeting held at Naval Station Felix Apolinario, Panacan, Davao city, on Wednesday Oct. 12.
Members of the RPOC 11 signed Resolution Number 07 series of 2022 that declares Davao region as 'insurgency-free' as of September 19, 2022. The declaration came after Davao city and five provinces of the region were earlier declared insurgency-free by their respective Provincial and City Peace and Order Councils.
From 2016 to date, the 10th Infantry "Agila" Division recorded a total of 1,749 Communist NPA Terrorists neutralized, of which 107 were killed, 217 captured, and 1,425 surrendered; 1,597 firearms gained; 9,985 members of the Underground Mass Organization (UGMO) surrendered; and 401 barangays cleared from the influence of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG).
