PARANG, Maguindanao -- Acting on tips from civilians, the police here arrested Saturday in an island barangay two siblings who shot to death their stepmother Tuesday.
Chief Insp. Erwin Tabora, Parang town police chief, identified the suspects as Sammy and Deding Aragasi who sought refuge in Barangay Tucamaro, Brangay Bongo Island, after they allegedly opened fire on Hadja Langgui Aragasi, 33, public school teacher and second wife of their father, Barangay Tucamaro chair Kagi Aragasi.
Tabora said the suspects are Kagi's sons from his first marriage.
Tabora said police investigators are still awaiting statements from the village official as to the motive of the attack. Police are giving the family privacy as they grieve, Tabora said. (PNA)
