Press Release: The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)'s newly installed Command Master Chief, CG First Master Chief Petty Officer (FMCPO) Ireneo Bongay conducted COMMAND VISIT AND TROOPS INFORMATION AND EDUCATION (TI&E) in Western Visayas and Southwestern Mindanao from 08 to 16 March 2022.
CG FMCPO Bongay serves as the principal advisor to the PCG Commandant on all matters concerning PCG non-officers, especially those issues about the welfare of the enlisted corps.
PCG Commandant, CG Admiral Artemio M Abu has ordered the conduct of Command Visit and TI&E to cascade the Command guidance to all Coast Guard enlisted personnel on the ground. It also served as an avenue for PCG non-officers to raise concerns affecting their morale, welfare, and discipline.
CG FMCPO Bongay said the Command Visit and TI&E successfully bolstered the spirit of camaraderie, good rapport, and harmonious relationship among PCG non-officers in Western Visayas and Southwestern Mindanao.
