Cavite province to implement color coding scheme starting Dec. 22

TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite, Dec. 16 (PNA) -- The provincial government will start implementing the color coding scheme on Dec. 22, 2016 based on the ordinance passed by the provincial legislative council and approved by Governor Jesus "Boying" Remulla.
The ordinance seeks to regulate the operation of private vehicles within the territorial jurisdiction of the province through the Unified Vehicular Reduction System (UVRS) which is similar to color coding scheme of Metro Manila Development Authority(MMDA).
The ordinance will be implemented along Aguinaldo Highway from Bacoor City to Tagaytay City, Molino Boulevard to Paliparan, Dasmarinas City, Governors Drive to Carmona and Trece Martires City to Daang Hari Road.
Authorities will restrict cars, motorcycles, trucks and other private vehicles from traveling on Aguinaldo Highway, Governors Drive, Molino-Paliparan Road and Centennial Road based on plate numbers in specific days.
Banned are vehicles with license plate numbers ending as follows: Mondays 1-2, 3-4; Tuesdays, Wednesdays 5-6, 7-8; Thursdays, 9 and 0 on Fridays, from 6:00 am to 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Violators will be fined with at least Php 300. (PNA)
