Quezon City, Cebu City and Davao City have been picked as three of the top 10 "Asian Cities of the Future" by London-based FDI magazine.

The Philippine cities of Quezon City was the highest ranked at No. 7, followed by Cebu City at No 8, and Davao City was listed No. 10

The other Asian cities in the top 10 list are: Hong Kong, Singapore, Taipei (Taiwan), Melbourne (Australia), Dalian (China), Shijiazhuang (China), and Guangzhou (China).

In the magazine's listing of top five Asian Cities with the "best human resources," Davao City was No. 5, together with four other cities - Singapore (1), Melbourne (2), Hong Kong (3), and Taipei (4).

The finance magazine used the following judging criteria: economic potential, cost effectiveness, human resources, quality of life, infrastructure, business friendliness and promotion strategy.

Member of its judging panel were David Kinnear, president of DDC HRO, a provider of process outsourcing solutions (New York); James Ku, manager of consultancy firm Tractus-Asia, Ltd. (Shanghai); Anupam Prakasi, Asia-Pacific leader in global sourcing and business transformation at HR consultancy firm Hewitt Associates (India); and Lawrence Yeo, CEO of international consultancy firm AsiaBIZ (Singapore).

Oi children, ok na ang anak ni Mayor Duterte. He is not a druggie anymore, in fact he is serving now his constituents in Catalunan Grande or Mintal as a Barangay Captain and at the same time ABC President. He asked for forgiveness and that he be given another chance and so far, so good.

I don't know but he is really unforgiing to "sagbot sa society". Simple rules na i violate like smoking in public places, nah ma singgitan ka ni Mayor Duterte kon masakpan ka. Naka experience nko jud kay ang driver sa jeep akong gisakyan nag sigarilyo, nah gi leche2x jud unya gipanaog mi mga pasahero kay gidala ni Mayor ipa seminar kon unsa daw wa na sabti sa simple rules! Tough but it's paying off.

hmm i grew up there! very big city in terms of land area..peaceful(naa mi 911 didto)...best water in the philippines and 3rd best water in asia...child friendly city...basta!limpyo xa compare to other cities!

b4 sa green meadows subd mi duol sa mintal..pero transfer nami karon sa lanang executive homes.. naa among house likod anang warehouse club sa lanang jud... pero ako naa diri sa bohol kay naminyo man ko taga tagb...akong lang naa dri akong family naa sa davao..
taga alpha homes diay ka te graze..cge ko anha dha kay naa man akong classmate dha nagpuyo sa 4th and 5th avenue..sa kanto ilang balay...nya akong auntie naa dapit ila sa chapel..

I was in Davao in 2001. Lahi na gani tong Bangkerohan tan awon unya diha nay SM sa Ecoland. Di ko sure when nag graduate akong cousin. I think she is in her early 30s now. Naa na sya sa Cebu ga manage ug bank.

Ang problema kay old and sickly na si Mayor Duterte but his lawyer daughter Sara who is the current Vice Mayor is as good as Mayor himself, if not more strict than Mayor Duterte.

Bem, Mayor Duterte started as a Mayor in Davao City in 1989 and three consecutive terms later. He ran for congress and won again and came back to run his fourth term in Davao in 2001 and ran again in 2004 and 2007.
