Bicol University open university program on streamLegazpi City (24 June 2005) -- The Bicol University, thru the Graduate School, has started offering some graduate programs under its Open University Program this first semester of school year 2005-2006.
Initially, the programs offered via distance education mode are Master of Arts in Public Administration (MAPA), Master in Management (MM), and Master in Local Government Management (MLGM).
The Open University Program seeks to provide wider access to quality education adhering to the highest standards of academic excellence in order to produce trained manpower required for the development of the Bicol region.
It is an innovative way to address some limitations which hinder prospective students from pursuing graduate education like distance from educational centers, office workload, family concern, and other physical barriers.
