News: The Department of Health (DOH) Team, led by Officer-in-Charge, Undersecretary Maria Rosario Singh-Vergeire, pays a courtesy call to the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahaim.
Officials from the DOH and the BARMM government conducted a meeting regarding the vaccination program in the region. Dr. Zul Abas, OIC-Minister of Health, presented the accomplishments and challenges in the implementation and rollout of the COVID-19 vaccines in BARMM.
Meanwhile, OIC Vergeire recognized the initiatives of the Ministry of Health for their vaccination milestones for the past weeks. She underscored the significance of coming together to achieve vaccination targets to protect BARMM communities.
In line with the 100 Days Presidential Directives to the Department of Health, OIC-Vergeire sought the support of the entire region for the PinasLakas campaign set to launch on July 26, 2022. "We will need your support to provide vaccines to the different settings in the region- our schools, markets, offices, and the community", said the OIC.
