BACOLOD CITY, Aug. 9 -- A street level drug personality was arrested in a buy-bust here Tuesday night that yielded P310,000 worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride also known as “shabu”.
A report of Police Station 6 of Bacolod City Police Office showed the suspect, Don Ernst Gonzales, 29, a resident of Barangay Singcang-Airport, sold a sachet of “shabu” to a police agent for PHP1,200 during the operation conducted at Doña Juliana Subdivision in Barangay Taculing around 6:40 p.m..
Operatives led by Chief Inspector Jovil Sedel also seized from the suspect four big sachets and 57 elongated sachets of suspected hard drugs placed inside a white sock.
Other items confiscated included a Yamaha MEO 125 motorcycle and a Samsung cellular phone.
Sedel said in an interview the suspect, who is facing charges for sale and possession of dangerous drugs, supplies hard drugs in Barangays 2, Taculing, Singcang-Airport, and Banago.
Last August 2, seven persons were also arrested inside a hotel room in Bacolod following a buy-bust jointly conducted by operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-18.
The operation led to the recovery of about 70 grams of “shabu” with an estimated value of PHP700,000.(PNA)
