i just read some of the new update, guys. the utility person whom jonelle asked about the garbage bag, that was lame. if she were to commit a crime why would she talk to someone that could possibly give information about the issue. like, didn't she think that asking a question about a plastic bag from utility person would give more reason to pin her to the crime. well, she could've just went to the grocery, bought and asked garbage bag sizes from the store itself!

i don't know, this doesn't seem well planned at all. and i just have a question, why is it that all evidences point directly to Jonelle? if the crime was indeed committed by her, why would she make it so obvious that it will all lead to her?

- the wallet that was found at where she lives
- giving the information about the crime then taking it back (which arised suspicion)
- chatting with Vi's bf and providing the prints to the cops
- asking about a garbage bag from the utility person

do the crime and get caught right away?

Maybe itâ€™s the tension of facing the PC, handling irate callers and being confined together for eight hours during mostly graveyard shifts.

I don't understand why he thinks this kind of work will lead to some agents' promiscuity.

If he used "open-mindedness" and "different culture" exposure as probable reasons, I might agree.

they are not insane. i think they intentionally done that brutal killing.jonelle is my friend here in tacloban, at first i cudnt believe she would do that. but now i am convince that she is the mastermind of the killing. anyone from teletech cud convince her to say the real truth? or how about invite a priest so she could confess her sins.. her doings.. does anyone agree?

Hindi lang naman si Evelyn ang na-implicate eh. I know of 2 other families back in Tacloban who are grieving because a member of their family was dragged into this case. My bro's former boss was also dragged into this, only because they happened to be in Cebu at that time and wanted to be neighborly with Jonelle and went out to a drinking session with her.

Jonelle may after all be not the one behind this, but obviously Jonelle knows something, right? Why won't she come clean if she is not behind the murder? One of my neighbors back in Tacloban texted me and said that she might still be enjoying the publicity hehe (reminds me of the musical "Chicago") - I can't say that's not like her hahaha.

I obviously do not like Jonelle. Her character, it's odd. She is mostly not nice, but a selected few (selected few talaga hehe) would say that she's nice and all. However rotten her character may be, that does not say that she is capable of murder. And even if she is, that's not to say as well that she is behind all this.

At the end of the day, someone who might just have hated the victim deeply to have carried out murder may also be exploiting Jonelle's relationship with the victim and her not-so-good character to pin the murder case on her. Jonelle might have just panicked and did stuff that pointed the murder case to her.

.... And then again, she might just be behind the murder. I can't wait for the conclusion of the case.

THE gruesome deaths of call center agent Lynn Vi Ebarita and Emily NuÃ±eza draw our attention to the social impact and dangers of modern-day technology.

Police investigators and reporters had been talking, off the record, about what they learned regarding the liberal sexual lifestyle of call center agents in the course of the Ebarita investigation.

Maybe itâ€™s the tension of facing the PC, handling irate callers and being confined together for eight hours during mostly graveyard shifts. Many call center employees end up having several liaisons and some even engage in group sex. As we all know, the call center industry is a recent phenomenon brought possible by advances in information and communication technology.

I understand that one theory pursued by investigators involved a possible invitation to enjoy with the group gathered by Lynn Viâ€™s best friend at the Nikei Hotel in Mandaue Cityâ€”a sex party that went awry.

According to a former Sun.Star editor who went to work in a call center, equally tragic was what happened to another group in another Cebu-based call center. They tested positive for HIV.

Emily NuÃ±eza, on the other hand, responded to a radio program â€œWanted Panggaâ€ that featured blind dates through the airing of their cell phone numbers. We in Superbalita had long ago refrained from publishing cell phone numbers because of numerous complaints about unwanted texters. But apparently, the said radio program became popular because of the opportunity of talking with the prospective text mate first live on air.

Unfortunately for Emily, she ended up a victim of rape and murder at the hands of her anonymous text mate. After all, many radio callers and eventual text mate do not immediately reveal their identities. â€œMangalyas una.â€ One does not really know the identity of the other person.

Nevertheless, Iâ€™m not really sure if banning programs like â€œWanted Panggaâ€ or non-publication of cell phone numbers will stop perverts from preying on text mates or friends found through other forms of new media. Today, there are the unregulated interaction in thousands of online chat rooms, message groups, news groups, message boards, and social networks.

Hindi naman hinati ang katawan. The news kasi about the 2 garbage bags that were used to wrap the dead body was misleading, pero wala namang na mention anywhere sa news na pinutol or chinop-chop yung katawan.

What i can imagine yung katawan eh nasa me aircon vent tas yung upper part ng body pinasok sa unang garbage bag tas yung legs and the lower part eh pinasok sa pangalawang garbage bag tas yung dalawang garbage bag eh pinagdugtong using a packaging tape para ma-seal yung katawan sa loob.

I was from Teletech too pero dito sa Pasay, I left sometime in 2006. My former co-QA Specialist who is now a QA sup joined the launch ng Teletech Cebu. He is still with Teletech but I'm not sure kung sa Cebu pa din. I dropped him an email a couple of days ago about this. He said he heard about it. TTech daw is cooperating with the authorities but they want the media hype to die down as soon as possible. Nakaka-affect na ata sa company image, lalo na that Teletech is heavy on perception management.

huh?my dear evelyn dd nt wear such thing(shades&fishermans hat) that night,even in the morning she wouldn't wear that(shes not into it ever)..i have proof bcoz i have a picture on her that night, yes, she was w/ jonnelle and Lynn, but only in a bar(btw,it's their first meeting), after w/c she went home already, and yes she was w/ Lynn bcoz jonnelle asked her to just dropby evelyn bcoz she doesn't know how to go home knowing that she's from the province.jonnelle was left in the bar.after that evelyn did not know what happened.she only know the news after she went home to the province...

Cash for info offer stands on slay case

MANDAUE CITY, Philippines - Mandaue City officials Sunday called on the police to arrest three men and one woman allegedly involved in the murder of call center employee Lynvi Ebarita late last month.

Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes issued the call following the arrest of suspected mastermind and fellow call center employee Jonnelle Enfectana last Wednesday.

The mayor confirmed that his offer of a cash reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspects still stands.

â€œI commend the police for taking an active part in solving the crime. But they should dig deeper in their investigation and leave no stone untouched,â€ Cortes said.

The police's Investigation and Detection Management Bureau (IDMB) said the other suspects whose identities were still unknown were still in Eastern Visayas.

Murder charges were filed against Enfectana, who underwent an inquest proceeding at the Mandaue City Prosecutor's Office last Friday.

Vice Mayor Carlo Fortuna said there is no need to offer a cash reward to informants anymore.

â€œI don't think it may have any value now because the principal suspect has been identified. The police are no longer facing a blank wall,â€ Fortuna said.

The vice mayor added that what is important now is to appeal to other witnesses to come forward.

â€œWhat's needed is for the witnesses to share information to the police that can help them identify the suspects and establish their motive,â€ Fortuna said.

He said that unless the other suspects were arrested, Ebarita's loved ones will continue to live in fear.

â€œIt is only when we can bring them (suspects) behind bars can their lives return to normal,â€ the vice mayor said.

It was believed that Ebarita and Enfectana were with the suspect's cousin Evelyn Apelado, Roxan or Rachon, Wabert Diu or Wabert Wo and Arnel Babon the night before she was murdered at the Nikkei Garden Hotel in Barangay (village) Subangdaku in Mandaue City.

Except for Enfectana, the other persons identified did not present themselves to the police for investigation, according to a written complaint filed by Ebarita's sister Joy Perpetua.

that's exactly my point. basin gi gamit ra ni jonelle ang name nga evelyn to cover up the real name of whoever that woman was who wore the fisherman's hat and sunglasses that night.

for me, i think the best thing for the police to do is to talk with the REAL evelyn (kato friend ni husay) and those other guys whose names were dragged into this. para masulti nila ilang side, nga wla jud sila ato nga hotel at that night. or pakit-on tong front desk person sa nikkei hotel sa picture sa REAL EVELYN para maka-ingon sya nah dili diay to mao ang babae nga nag-check in that night. that way, they can prove nga nangilad ra si jonelle ug nag-buot2x ra ug gamit ug mga pangalan sa mga tao nga wa man jud diay apil sa gulo.

ang story.. acording pa... na nakit.an daw si ebarita kyog ni enfectana and a guy sa isa ka kan.anan... unya padung na unta daw uli si ebarita, when enfectana said nga idrop lang nila si ebarita since mandaue ra man sad ilaha ky muhapit man ang laki sa nikkei garden hotel to get his things kay mu uli nadaw sa ila province... nya ang taxi driver nakahibaw man ky naghuwat daw siya ngadto for 2 hours thinking nga mubalik pa lageh ang tulo kay igo ra gud daw hapiton ang things sa laki.. after 2 hours wa pa nibalik, nihawa nalang ang driver... nya kana pud daw bae.. i dont know who, ky mag sige gyud daw cap ug shades nig adto sa frontdesk..

so i dont think na wa to giplano tanan..

the question is.. kung unsa gyud ang motive sa pagpatay.
