Lazada is moving forward at a rapid pace and we want to share some of that excitement with you!

Lazada has a new app, website, CEO Lucy Peng, and Alibaba has invested another $2bn. Exciting times indeed.

These changes show the growth of ecommerce in Asia and the strategic focus of Lazada. The affiliate program, along with the rest of Lazada, will be focusing on 3 strategic items for the year, beginning April 1.

App First

Most shoppers in South East Asia engage with commerce on mobile devices. Our new app platform is designed to increase the joy of engagement with our company. We are rolling out personalized landing pages, in app seller communication and special deals only on app.

The affiliate program is also giving a boost to app with higher commission on app in every country and adding Smart Links to every mobile offer and data feed.

Smart links are a single link that understands the device the user is on and send them to the correct property. Our new backend migration ensures the user is tracked every step of the way!

Empowering Women

We have heard that users want more from Lazada, more fashion, beauty and home goods!  Lazada has worked to expand the assortment in these categories and we are now working to increase the commission to reflect our approach.

Clear and Simple Communication
We have heard that some of our policies and commission systems have been difficult to understand, we are now making sure everything is clear.

We will be implementing a commission cap for each order to replace more difficult communication around specific fraud types.

Categories and commission groupings will be streamlined to fewer levels to make it easier to understand.

We are also measuring performance against our daily and monthly active users, a measurement that is clear for us and for you!
