LEGAZPI CITY, Aug. 9 -- The Albay Provincial Social Welfare Development Office (PSWDO) gave additional cash incentive and a felicitation letter to each eighteen (18) centenarians of Albay, according to a PSWDO official today.
Eva Grageda, PSWDO head, in an interview today, said a felicitation letter signed by Governor Al Francis Bichara and cash incentive in the amount of P40,000.00 was given to the centenarians from Guinobatan, Ligao City, Oas, and Polangui, all in the 3rd district of Albay.

“We have 18 qualified centenarians for cash incentives— this is just an additional cash incentive aside from the Php 100,000 of the DSWD, and is given by the provincial government of Albay," Grageda added.
She said for the 2nd district of Albay (Camalig, Daraga and Legazpi), it will be released tomorrow (Aug. 10) while for the 1st district (Bacacay, Malilipot and Tabaco City), it is being released today.
For the 3rd district, the recipient centenarians from Guinobatan were: Abundio Marantal, 104 years old, and Abundio A. Palermo, 100. In Ligao City, recipients were: Cocatana Sadia, 100, and Encarnacion Monasterial, 100. In Oas, the awardees were: Ariston Rosetes, 100; Remedios Vargas, 103 and Magdalena Real, 102 years.
In the municipality of Polangui, Albay, the centenarians awarded were: Elpidio O. Dazo, 103; Rita Ante, 100; and Segundina Tuscano , 101 years old.

For the 2nd district, recipients from Camalig, were: Exaltacion Soguilon, 106 and Antonio Damian, 100 years old. For Legazpi City, recipient was: Lina Azores, 102 years old, and in Daraga, Eustaquia Nuada, 103 years old.
For the 1st district, centenarian recipients were: Arcadia Borcelis, 100 and Perfecto Brusola, 105 years old of Tabaco City and Lauro Bilaos, 100 of Malilipot and Esperanza Torres 101 years old, of Bacacay, Albay.
