A total of 110 rice farmers associations were able to avail of the intervention package that includes hybrid/certified seeds, inorganic fertilizer, zinc sulphate and various chemicals for pest and disease control.

The program, according to Presilda, also dispersed 88,600 kg. of rice seeds; 370,000 kg. of inorganic fertilizer; 3,400 kg. of zinc sulphate; 3,000 liters of fungicide/bactericide; and 500 kg. of rodenticides.

Some 30 farmer field school demonstration sites were also established.

Meanwhile, PHP23.6 million was allocated for the construction and rehabilitation of irrigation facilities in the region.

A small water impounding project was installed at SSDSU, San Miguel, Surigao del Sur, while a diversion dam was built in Ubod-ubod, Butuan City. A small farm reservoir was constructed in Maharag, San Miguel while three diversion dams in Lanuza, Surigao del Sur; Bacuag, Surigao del Norte and Buenavista, Agusan del Norte were rehabilitated.

The program was also able to distribute three 4WD tractors, eight hand tractors, five floating trailers and three transplanters that help farmers during land preparation and planting.

In support of farm mechanization, the department was able to distribute seven rice reapers and 20 threshers that help farmers reduce post-harvest losses during harvesting, as compared to manual harvesting, according to Presilda.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
