DAVAO CITY – Housing developers in Mindanao were awarded by the Pag-IBIG Fund for their accomplishments and support to the housing program of the agency.
A total of 15 housing developers were cited based on take-outs for the year 2017 during the Mindanao leg of the Home Lending Accomplishment Report (HOLAR) held at the Apo View Hotel Thursday.
Among those awarded were the 8990 Housing Development Corporation with projects in Davao and General Santos (Gensan) City; VCDU Realty Corporation in Butuan and Cagayan de Oro; Agan Land Corporation in Gensan; Jukens Builders and Trade - Cagayan de Oro; Gensan VSM Realty Corporation –Gensan; Moderno Citihomes Dev't. Corporation – Davao; Davao Joyful Homes Realty Corp. - Davao; AZ Developers Corporation – Tagum City; Prosperidad Real Estate Dev't., Inc – Butuan; Mediatrix Homes, Inc. - Zamboanga and Pagadian; Argusland, Inc. – Cagayan de Oro; HLC Construction & Dev't. Corporation – Gensan and Tagum; Sarangani Resources Corporation - Gensan; A Brown Company, Inc. – Cagayan de Oro; and Johndorf Ventures Corporation – Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Iligan and Butuan.
Pag-IBIG Fund CEO Acmad Rizaldy Moti said the Mindanao leg of the HOLAR forum series has been convened since the appointment of Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) Chairperson Eduardo D. del Rosario in July.
“We conducted activities such as these in line with President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s directive to provide our stakeholders with transparency in our operations and to support his call to address the country’s housing backlog. This is also an opportunity for us to encourage our developers to share in Secretary del Rosario’s thrust of upholding the mandate and mission of HUDCC to provide adequate and affordable housing to low-income families,” Moti said.
Moti said the next HOLAR forums will be held in South Luzon, Visayas, and North Luzon.
Aside from the 15 housing developers, the Fund also gave special recognition to the local government unit of Dangcagan in Bukidnon and Telow Brothers Inc. for collaborating with the Pag-IBIG fund to initiate the realization of the Sto. Nino Heights project in Poblacion, Dangcagan.
